DeepSeek Ecosystem Tools, October 2026: Official Integrations and Community Ships
DeepSeek's tooling grows on two tracks: the agent integrations listed in the official docs, and community projects shipping nearly every week. Here is the field as of October 16, 2026.
Official agent integrations
The docs' Agent Integrations section lists DeepSeek Harness, Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes, Reasonix, WorkBuddy/CodeBuddy and Qoder — mainstream coding agents and terminal assistants can point at DeepSeek directly, with both OpenAI- and Anthropic-format endpoints available. Hooking one up is a base_url and model-name change.
October community ships
- OpenCode goes free (Oct 15): the open-source coding tool made V4.1-Flash free to use, lowering the trial barrier further;
- Panelize (Oct 14, Show HN): sends one prompt side by side to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and DeepSeek — handy for comparing output styles;
- CLI-Dispatch (Oct 11, Show HN): delegates Claude Code tasks to Codex, Gemini, DeepSeek and other backends for cost/quality routing;
- DeepSFetch (Oct 13): an open-source developer kit for web extraction and agent workflows;
- Parsimony (Oct 13, Show HN): an open benchmark for how much code AI models add, 77 points on the day.
How to combine them
Coding: Harness or Claude Code on deepseek-flash, overnight batches on off-peak rates. Evaluation: Panelize for side-by-side. Pipelines: CLI-Dispatch for multi-backend routing. See the Python quickstart and the Harness and bot plugins roundup.
